Additional Funding

Ongoing Conference and Research Support

Students participating in Liberal Arts Honors or Departmental Honors programs may apply for funding to attend an academic conference or purchase research materials (e.g. books not available at the library, software, or recording equipment).  These funds, while available, will be provided on a rolling basis.

LAH Emergency Fund

Students participating in Liberal Arts Honors or Departmental Honors programs with demonstrated emergency need may apply for funding to help ensure they remain enrolled and on track with their degree. Examples include, but are not limited to, rent/housing assistance; technology/book needs for courses; food insecurity; or travel to return home for family emergencies whereby other means for their travel are prohibited.  To qualify for this type of funding, students must demonstrate financial need as well as explain their extenuating circumstances. These funds, while available, will be provided on a rolling basis.

Please submit your application for conference and research support or the LAH emergency fund through the LASSO Scholarship system  These applications will be reviewed approximately every two weeks on an ongoing basis.

Note: Plan II majors are not eligible to apply for either of these types of funding; they should contact the Plan II Office for financial support.
